Old Lloyd's financial forecasting

Helping you to make informed decisions. Financial planning and pension forecasting for humans, not computers!

What We Do

We leave in uncertain times. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought it into sharp focus for many. Rational people want to plan their financial future carefully, even when facing uncertainty. It is hard to do it without good understanding of both mathematics and modern finances. Between day jobs and taking care of their families, not everyone will find the time to acquire a Ph.D. in statistics or accounting. Here, at Old Lloyd's financial forecasting website, we will help you to find answers to many important fiscal planning and pension projection questions. In a form accessible to mere mortals 😉

On our website you can build a portfolio of your current assets and track their change over time. Add current and expected cashflows, i.e. incomes and expenses, and build pension forecasts! Finally answer the question - do I have enough money to retire at 50? 45? What if the inflation hits 8%? Play with different scenarios of your assets and liabilities, incomes and expenditures. Make informed decisions!

We are aiming to help the members of the FIRE movement, as well as any person, interested in evaluating their current and future financial footing. Our tools and and general approach are based on our overall frugal philosophy. As a user, however, you are under no obligations to count yourself a member of FIRE or to share our world view. As long as this web site is helpful in your financial forecasting, this is all that matters.

Keeping track

Start with creating the list of all your major assets, liabilities and cashflows. Having a clear picture of what you have, you owe, what you will earn and spend it one of the most important steps towards clearheaded financial planning.

Forecasting

Once you established your financial position, you can proceed to forecasting. Do you have enough money to retire now? In 10 years? Never? How much more do you need? What if you sold the house? Bought one or five? What if inflation doubled? Try different scenarios!
